We will cover eight essential areas for a successful financial plan:

- 2. Explore your emotions around your finances
- 3. Identify your net worth - assets and liabilities
- 4. Identify your budget
- 5. Review retirement needs and general planning
- 6. Review your insurance needs including health insurance, life insurance, and long-term care insurance
- 7. Create your personal investment portfolio, including risk-assessment, a basic investment strategy and a plan for implementation
- 8. Speak about the importance of a will
